32 players summoned to prepare Ireland

The staff of the French women’s rugby team unveiled the group of 32 players selected to prepare for the next 6 nations tournament, which will start on March 22 with a trip to Ireland.

Second of the 6 Nations Nations Tournament For five editions, the XV of France dreams of finally dethroning England, victorious of the last six tournaments. The 2025 edition will start on March 22 with a trip to Ireland, that the Bleues had beaten 38-17 last year. And to prepare for this meeting, the tricolor staff led by David Ortiz and Gaëlle Mignot summoned a group of 32 players, who will find themselves at INSEP from March 10 to 14 and then to the National Rugby Center Marcoussis from March 15, as soon as the Male XV of France has finished its own tournament.

Note mainly in this group the absence of the former captain Gaëlle Hermet, but also that of Chloé Jacquet, Romane Ménager or Caroline Drouin. Captain Manae Feleu is there, just like her younger sister Téani, or the young third Grenoble line of 20 years Taïna Maka, who could celebrate her first selection.

2025, year of World Cup

The French team, which won 6 tournaments in 26 participations, has no longer raised the trophy since its 2018 Grand Colem. A final victory this year will certainly go through a success in England on April 26 against the holding sexuples of the title. And remember that the year 2025 will not be marked only by the tournament, since the World Cup will take place from August 22 to September 27 in England. The Bleues, which finished third in the World Cup during seven out of nine editions, were placed in the group of South Africa, Brazil and Italy.
