Five new people indicted


Aged 19 to 37 years old, they were indicted for kidnapping and sequestration with acts of torture and barbarism, extortion and money laundering, all in an organized gang.

The investigation continues. Five people, suspected of being involved in the kidnapping in the middle of Paris on May 1 of the father of a cryptocurrency entrepreneur, were indicted on Friday June 13 in Paris, the prosecution said.

These people, aged 19 to 37, were indicted for kidnapping and sequestration with acts of torture and barbarism, extortion and whitening, all in organized band. They are also prosecuted for association of criminal criminals, according to the public prosecutor. Their detention was required.

The investigation started on May 1, after the kidnapping, in the middle of the 14th arrondissement, of the father of the entrepreneur who made a fortune in the cryptocurrencies. The victim’s family had received ultimatums and threats of mutilation on the hostage, the victim having had a cut finger. A first wave of indictments had already taken place on May 8. At least five suspects, from 18 to 26 years old, have been imprisoned.
