Airbus records 105 firm commands from the first day


The European manufacturer has shot the game in front of its American rival Boeing, after the crash of a device from the Air India company.

The Polish company Lot, a traditional client of the American Boeing and the Brazilian Embraer, has placed its first contract with Airbus with a firm order of 40 A220 planes to modernize its fleet for a theoretical value of 3.4 billion dollars.

This amount was calculated according to the 2018 catalog prices but Airbus has since abandoned this principle by arguing that real selling prices depend on the specifics of each contract, the version and the configuration of the device and that they remain confidential.

The agreement signed at Le Bourget provides for a future increase in the contract to 84 A220 planes.

An order from the Saudi company Riyadh water

The new national transporter of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh water, “has placed a firm order of 25 A350-1000 coarse doors and the agreement can potentially increase to 50 A350-1000”Airbus announced in a press release.

This order represents a contract of theoretical value of $ 9 billion. At the end of May, the A350 family displayed more than 1,390 firm orders of around sixty customers around the world, according to Airbus.

Forty planes for the Avilease rental company

Saudi lessor Avilease also ordered 10 A350F cargo planes, as well as 30 aircraft from the A320neo family.
