The Minister of Transport asked, Tuesday, June 17, the immobilization of all the Citroën C3 and DS3 requiring a change of airbags. Philippe Tabarot told AFP that they have summoned Citroën leaders and requested a “stop drive” measure for “The set of C3 and DS3 being the subject of a reminder”. So far, some drivers had been invited to change their airbags, but not to use their vehicles anymore.
This decision comes as the failing airbags of the manufacturer Takata made a second proven victim in mainland France after numerous overseas accidents. A mother died following an accident on the fast track that crosses the city of Reims on June 11, and a 14 -year -old minor, who was also on board, was injured. In all, around thirty accidents took place throughout our territory, revealed Franceinfo, with also about fifteen injured.
