Three new cases of bloody diarrhea have been reported, learned Here Picardy (ex-France Bleu) Saturday with the prefecture of Aisne. In total, 14 children were affected by serious food poisoning since Thursday, June 12, which caused the death of an 11 -year -old girl on Monday. The activity of a fifth butcher’s shop has been suspended.

In its press release, the department’s prefecture added that four children were able to leave the hospital and return to their homes. “All children are subject to continuous medical follow -up”underlines the prefectural authority.

Food poisoning is linked to the consumption of “Meat or meat products” from several butchers. During the week, two butchers were closed administratively. Three others saw their activity suspended, the last this Saturday, a supermarket in Saint-Quentin.
