Still not agree between employers and unions

After a meeting on June 17, employers and unions have still not reached an agreement concerning the pension reform.

After four months of negotiations and hours of discussion on Tuesday June 17 until very late in the evening, the social partners have still not found an agreement to try to improve the pension reform. Vice-president of the CFTC in charge of pensions, Pascale Coton, explained that the union wanted the retirement age without discount to be lowered from 67 to 65 years.

First blocking point between employers and unions: the question of the retirement age without a discount. This is currently set at 67 years for a full board, if every quarters have not been contributed. Strong work is the other thorny negotiations to improve pension reform. This last point, the CFDT made it its workhorse. For its part, Medef rather pleads for the retraining of workers at the end of their careers.
