A new weapon has just appeared to combat fraud at sick leave: a secure form which aims to prevent the falsification of documents.
It is a small revolution that has been put in place to fight against health insurance fraud. Indeed, new forms for sick leave will appear in order to deal with the proliferation of false forms. In 2024, fraud amounted to 30 million euros. On the Internet, it is very easy to get a false sick leave against around twenty euros.
Marc Scholler, deputy director of the fight against health insurance fraud, explains: “Here we have a stop with different mentions, a hologram, different QR codes, plus watermark. In fact, it is designed a bit like banknotes.“A special paper with magnetic ink that prevents photocopies and that will have seven authentication points in a few weeks.
