The Minister of Transport orders the immobilization of 800,000 cars equipped with Takata Airbags. This brings the number of cars stopped in France due to the defective airbag at 1.7 million.

A decision made following the accident that occurred in Reims (Marne) on June 11, where a 36 -year -old mother was killed by the explosion of her Takata airbag. It was the 18th death linked to defective airbags.
