Wednesday, June 25, a strong stormy degradation will cross part of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region at the end of the afternoon. Faced with the risk, the region and the SNCF apply the precautionary principle. No train will circulate in Auvergne from 4 p.m., warns Here country of AuvergneAfter consulting the SNCF press release.

In Auvergne, the judgment therefore concerns all railway circles on the departments of Allier, Cantal, Haute-Loire, Puy-de-Dôme, from 4 p.m. until the end of the day.

On the Rhône -Alpes perimeter, three lines are affected from 5 p.m.: Saint -Étienne – Roanne, Saint -Germain at Mont d’Or – Roanne – Clermont -Ferrand and the Lozanne – Paray Le Monial line.

For the Intercités Clermont – Paris line, the first trains of the day will circulate, but the traffic will be interrupted early enough. In the direction Clermont – Paris, the last programmed train will leave at 10:27 am. In the other direction, only trains from Bercy at 7:00 am and 9:00 am will circulate. All the other trains of the day are deleted.

This is the second time that this precautionary principle has been activated in the region and that the circulation of trains has been completely interrupted. The first was November 25 for risk of strong winds: the Bert storm had blown up to 111 km/h in Clermont-Ferrand.
