Faced with the increase in work stoppages, whose reasons and durations sometimes question, health insurance provides for measures to better supervise them. In particular, it plans to limit the duration of stops.
In a group of crèche, sick leaves multiply among employees, with reasons which sometimes question the president, like gastroenteritis which last fifteen days. Throughout France, expenses related to work stoppages have jumped in recent months. Between January and April 2025, it was more 6.7 % compared to last year. To limit their increase, health insurance intends to supervise them better.
Among the tracks, reduce the duration of sick leave: fifteen days in city medicine, and they could not exceed one month after hospitalization. The objective is to save 300 million euros next year and partially absorb the health insurance deficit. It should reach 18 billion euros in 2026.
