In difficulty in recent weeks, Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold crushed the Sprint of November Mesto in front of Justine Braisaz-Bouchez, Julia Simon and Lou Jeanmonnot. The latter took advantage of the underperformance of Franziska Preuss to reduce its delay in the general classification of the World Cup.
The blue fell on a bone. Two weeks after Worlds during which she was in great difficulty, Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold silenced her detractors on the occasion of the Sprint of November Mesto. In front of a Czech public enthusiastic, the Norwegian was intractable in the face of the targets with a 10/10 which allowed her to make the difference but also shone on the skis with the second time on the whole of the three 2,500 -meter loops on the program, despite a last round less efficient than the first two.
And it was necessary to take the advantage on a French team which was on the momentum of the performance seen in Lenzerheide. Starting very early in this sprint, with bib number 11, Lou Jeanmonnot may regret the failed target on his standing shot. Indeed, this deprives the native of Pontarlier of a seventh podium this season in the World Cup, she who took place only on the first step when she was invited to climb on the “box”.
The blue placed but not winners
Nevertheless, the Blue did better than appear during this event which launches the last straight line of the season. Despite a failed target, there on the standing shot, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet was very fast on the skis with the third time. This allowed the Habs to get second place in this sprint but fifteen seconds from Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold. The native of Albertville has been ahead of Julia Simon by five seconds. Appeared in pain in the first two loops but perfect for shooting with a 10/10 posed, the world champion of the individual in Lenzerheide went to seek third place ahead of Lou Jeanmonnot.
But La Franc-Comtoise is far from having lost everything during this first weekend race. Indeed, in the race for the big crystal globe, she absolutely did not say her last word! In difficulty on skis in addition to a penalty lap on the standing shot, Franziska Preuss finished out of the top 10 for only the third time of the World Cup season.
Jeanmonnot reduces the gap to the general
Only fifteenth this Friday on Czech snow, the German is dropping 29 points and seeing Lou Jeanmonnot come back to only 63 units with another six individual races to compete before the end of winter and the Oslo-Holmenkollen finals. Part with the number 1 bib and despite a 10/10 in the shooting, Jeanne Richard was in difficulty on the skis and could not do better than the 11th place, missing the top 10 for two seconds against Selina Grotian, who committed a shooting fault. Océane Michelon, on the other hand, missed a target on each of the two shots for a 13th place on arrival.
Sophie Chauveau also struggled on the track because, with the same number of faults as her compatriot, she is relegated to just over a minute and a half for a 43rd place which will still allow her to participate in the pursuit this Saturday. If the victory has escaped the French team, the overall result is more than positive for the tricolor clan even if it requires being confirmed during the weekend.
