After a quiet school year in Portugal, Julian Alaphilippe will be on Sunday from Paris-Nice. French will not be the only option of the Tudor Pro Cycling team.
This is the first major meeting of the season for Julian Alaphilippe. After the Figueira Champions Classic (8th) and the Tour of Algarve (20th), the tricolor puncture will find the French roads this Sunday, where he will be from Paris-Nice.
Julian Alaphilippe will compete in the sun race for the fifth time in his career. His best result on this event dates back to 2017, where he won a stage (a time trial at Mont Brouilly) before taking 5th place in the general classification. This year, he will undoubtedly aim for a stage victory. Arrivals at Côte-Saint-André and the last day in Nice have something to suit him on paper.
Alaphilippe without Hirschi, but …
For this race week, which will especially serve him for preparation for the classics, the French will be well accompanied by the Tudor Pro Cycling team.
While Marc Hirschi will be on Tirreno-AdriaticoThe Swiss training dispatched Matteo Trentin alongside Alaphilippe in Paris-Nice. We will also follow the sprinter Alberto Dainese and the climber Michael Storer, who took 3rd place in the Trofeo Laigueglia this week.
Note that this week is important for Tudor Pro Cycling, who must show himself in his best light in Aso’s eyes, with a view to invitations for the next Tour de France.
