Adopted last week, the Dupumb law reintroduces a pesticide prohibited since 2018, and promotes intensive farms and water storage in megabassines. Initiated by the senators Laurent Dupumb (LR) and Franck Menonville (UDI, Center), the text was adopted by 316 votes against 223 during a last session tense in the hemicycle. It is presented as one of the responses to the farmers’ protest movement during the winter of 2024.
