The family of the woman killed in Reims will be a civil party to “know what happened”

The family of the 36 -year -old woman killed by the explosion of her airbag Takata last June in Reims (Marne) will be a civil party in the current investigation to try to “Know what happened”, she indicates Tuesday July 22 to Here Champagne-Ardenne (ex-France blue).

It was then the 19th fatal accident linked to a defective airbag of the Takata brand in France, as revealed by the Radio France investigation cell. Following this fatal accident, the French government had ordered car manufacturers to immobilize 800,000 additional vehicles equipped with Takata airbags. In total, 1.7 million cars are therefore targeted by a prohibition to circulate until replacement of the potentially dangerous device.
