It is a new twist in the Takata airbag affair. Car manufacturers will have to offer “Mobility solutions” such as vehicle loans to immobilized customers for more than 15 days by dangerous airbags of the brand, the Ministry of Transport announced on Tuesday July 29. More than 1.7 million vehicles in France are targeted by the measure and will have to be repaired on average 15 days after making appointments, under penalty of“elevated ones”said the ministry.
