The CGT calls on strike in the public service on September 10 and 18

The main representative union in the public service, the CGT, calls for “Block everything” And on strike on September 10 and 18, according to a statement published Monday, September 1. The State Civil Service had 2.5 million agents, the hospital public service 1.9 million and the territorial public service, 1.3 million.

The CGT is the first representative union in the territorial and hospital slopes of the public service, and the fifth in the public service of the State, which counts in particular the police officers or the teachers. The organization of state agents “Calls public, civil servants and non -holders, assets and retirees, to block everything by the strike to fight austerity, defend, reconquer and develop public services”.

This initiative follows calls for mobilization on September 10 launched on social networks and which had received support from the whole of the political left, LFI in mind, which requires “the general strike”. It is also part of the call for strike launched by an inter -union for September 18, 10 days after a vote of confidence on the government of François Bayrou.

For its part, Force Public Service (FO) confirmed to join the strike movement of September 18, but must decide during the week on its participation in the day of September 10, explained the secretary general of Force Public Service Ouvrière, Christian Grolier. For its part, the CFDT Public Service, the third union organization across the entire public service, has noted that it would not participate in the September 10 strike, “In consistency with the Confederation”justified her secretary general, Mylène Jacquot, at AFP.
