To fight against scams at DPEs, the government sets a quota for diagnosticians

Compulsory for the sale or rental of accommodation, the famous energy performance diagnosis is also at the heart of certain abuses. The number of these DPEs is now set at 1,000 per year and per diagnostician.

To prevent these crooks from raging, an order therefore comes into force: it suspends any diagnostician carrying out more than a thousand DPE over a year, if he cannot justify this number of intervention. According to the Ministry of Housing, each year, out of four million DPEs carried out, around 70,000 are fraudulent. For two and a half hours spent on site, Stéphane Souchaud will charge 290 euros for the DPE and electricity and gas diagnoses.
