The TI Automotive equipment supplier will close its Indre-et-Loire factory in July, 156 employees concerned

The equipment manufacturer TI Automotive, world leader in braking circuits tubes, will close its Nazelles-Négron factory this summer (Indre-et-Loire), near Amboise, and over 55 years old, learned Wednesday, March 12 “Here Touraine” (ex-France blue) of union sources. The 156 employees will lose their jobs.

This announcement was made on Wednesday, in the morning, at unions, during a social and economic committee (CSE). Management has informed employees of a job safeguarding plan (PSE). The announcement was “brutal”, “here Touraine” told Frédéric Debrincat, union delegate force Ouvrière within the factory. This historic factory in Touraine opened in 1969.

According to information from “here Touraine”, most employees will leave their posts at the end of July. From September to December, all production lines will be dismantled and transferred to satellite sites, in Germany or France, as in Mureaux, in the Paris region, and in Brognard, near Sochaux, in Doubs.

The management offers employees of Nazelles-Négron around twenty reclassifications on these two other French factories. On the other hand, for around 130 people, it will be a dry dismissal. The letters will be sent during the month of September.
