The LFP disciplinary committee sanctioned OL to close the northern rostrum of Groupama Stadium and 10,000 euros fine.
OL is doubly sanctioned. Meeting on Wednesday, the LFP disciplinary committee took several partial closure measures from the northern grandstand of Groupama Stadium, including one for a firm match due to the behavior of OL supporters during the match against Brest (2-1) of March 2 for the use of pyrotechnic devices.
The same platform received a partial closure with suspended sentence and the club of a fine of 10,000 euros due to the behavior of Lyon supporters for the OL-PSG match (2-3) of February 23 also due to the massive use of pyrotechnic devices with observed oral and visual expressions.
Ideasy songs and banners
Fans are also accused of having chanted songs and exhibited insulting banners against Parisian leaders and Vincent Labrune, president of the LFP. “Labrune: corrupt, kneeling in front of Nasser, you are the shame of French football,” could be read on one of the banners.
The Gones, for whom the times are hard, will have to serve the first sanction during the reception of Le Havre, Sunday March 16 (3 p.m.) in Ligue 1.. The latter will not apply for the eighth round of the Europa League against the FCSB Bucharest, this Thursday, March 13 (9 p.m.).
On the sporting level, OL will also have to deal with the absence of Saël Kumbedi, suspended for a firm match after receiving a third warning. This suspension will take effect from Tuesday, March 18.
