Young people at the start of their careers are increasingly suspicious and demanding in the world of work, according to the 11th edition of the Actineo barometer, devoted to the quality of life at work, published Thursday March 13 by this observatory of life at work, and that France Inter reveals.
Among the lessons of this barometer, which lists the responses of assets including those that the so -called “generation Z” generation – born between the late 1990s and the early 2010s – we learn that 54% of young careers say they are bored at work, compared to 32% on average.
The barometer claims that this generation needs constant stimulation: “If almost one in five assets (18%) are calling for warm spaces for moments of conviviality, the young generations are even more demanding “. Among these workers, 26% want various spaces according to their mood, 19% plebiscient playful and fun places and 14% want spaces dedicated to art and culture.
Another teaching, the fact that the “Genz” are 67% to admit “do what is to do, nothing more“, against 43% on average. More than one worker of this in two generation (53%) also estimates that work has a negative impact on his mental health, against 38% of assets. These young workers say that stress is omnipresent in their professional life: 54% of young people in the” Genz “say they are stressed by their work, seven points more than the average of assets”.
Methodology: the 2025 Actineo barometer survey was controlled by the IFOP group sociovision. The representative survey, according to the quota method, was administered to 1,500 assets working in the office.
