The extension of the tax reduction for donations to associations, provided for in the budget presented Tuesday October 14 by the government, is “a very good news“which will encourage the French to”give more“, greet this Wednesday on France Inter Pascal Brice, president of the Federation of Solidarity Actors.
In its draft budget, the government wishes to double the ceiling on donations to associations which qualify for the rate of 75% of the tax reduction.
The ceiling would increase from 1,000 euros of annual donations to 2,000 euros. “This is very good news because poverty and precariousness have never been so high in France and our associations are not doing well (…) It is an incentive to give more to associations. They need it“, according to Pascal Brice.
“This should not lead to a reduction in public funding which we absolutely need”

On the other hand, the president of the Federation of Solidarity Actors will be vigilant to ensure that this measure “is not a means for the government to reduce public subsidies“.
“We must both take these tax advantage measures, which I welcome, and strengthen the level of public subsidies to associations which ensure that people are not abandoned on the streets“, observes the president.
