In great form, Joaquin Panichelli has made a name for himself in Strasbourg, and here he is in the sights of very big European clubs.
He arrived in a certain anonymity, despite the price of his transfer (16.5 million euros), drowned in a nine-figure transfer window from RC Strasbourg. But if Racing has invested such a sum, casually, for a Spanish D2 player, it is because there is a reason.
Arriving from Alaves, Joaquin Panichelli has established himself as the revelation of this start of the season in Ligue 1. Coming to be Emmanuel Emegha’s understudy, the 22-year-old Argentinian is taking advantage of his competitor’s injury to string together matches and goals.
In October, Panichelli posted a record of 7 goals in 5 matches in all competitions, and he is now the only top scorer in Ligue 1 with 9 goals.

His efficiency (a goal every 86 minutes in the league) and his skills in front of goal (notably with his head) are enough to please recruiters. And according to Mundo Deportivo, Panichelli is one of the profiles followed by FC Barcelona in its quest for a center forward of the future (with the Cameroonian Karl Etta Eyong, from Levante).
Unsurprisingly, since we’re talking about Strasbourg, Chelsea are also on board, regardless of whether the Blues have already announced the arrival of Emegha next season. La Gazzetta dello Sport also places AC Milan among the suitors for Panichelli.
