Reigning champion, Oklahoma City is still undefeated this season after winning against the Clippers. At the same time, Zaccharie Risacher stood out during the Hawks’ victory against the Magic.
But where will the Thunder stop? A few months after being crowned NBA champion (against the Indiana Pacers), Oklahoma City continues to impress at the start of the 2025-26 season. Indeed,
already winners of their first seven matches, Mark Daigneault’s players continued against the Los Angeles Clippers (126-107)last night. At the Intuit Dome, if the start of the match was in favor of the locals (33-23), who were deprived of Kawhi Leonard, the Thunder’s reaction did not take long to wait.
Carried once again by a huge Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (30 points and 12 assists), OKC initially came back to within one point of the Clippers at the break (56-57)before breaking away in the second half, thanks in particular to Isaiah Joe (22 points). In the end, this makes an 8th victory in as many matches for the Thunder, solid leader of the Western conference and therefore still undefeated since their title acquired last June.
Risacher shines at the right time
A little earlier in the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, Atlanta had notably dominated Orlando (127-112) and can thank Zaccharie Risacher. Indeed, while he remained on uneven last performances, the Frenchman was crucial in the success of the Hawks at the State Farm Arena. Author of 21 points (seven out of 14 shooting), his best total since the start of the season, the number 1 in the 2024 draft has achieved great things on the floorhe who was the best scorer for his franchise against the Magic.
Risacher also reached the mark of 1,000 points scored in the NBA. In front, despite Paolo Banchero close to the triple-double (22 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists), Orlando could not really worry the Hawkswho now have a balanced record (four wins and four defeats) and occupy 9th place in the East.
