Friday November 21, 2025, MP Syrine Mrabet spoke in Parliament, during the hearing of the Minister of the Economy, to denounce a case of moral and physical harassment.
She first mentioned the situation of the National Institute of Statistics (INS), claiming to have come with “a comprehensive report proving serious excesses and acts of corruption”calling on the minister to grant this alleged file “all necessary attention”.
But there is one point that she presented as being “the most important” of his intervention: “I would like to denounce today the case of a woman from the city of Ezzouhour, victim, from a manager of this institute, of moral, physical harassment and extortion”she said.
To support her remarks, she brandished exchanges on WhatsApp and Messenger, also claiming to have photos proving that this man was sending the victim messages that she described as“immoral”. “What I read here is simply shameful”she added.
Addressing the minister, Ms Mrabet insisted: “As much as you are polite, your entire delegation should be as well. »
She finally deplored that the victim had to abandon her complaint, because of constant harassment on the part of this man, and “made guilty by comments such as ‘Tunisian society does not forgive'”.
