A fourth case of avian flu was detected in Côte-d’Or in a duck farm in Montmain, reported Tuesday, December 2 HERE Burgundy. The breeder of this breeding of several thousand Muscovy ducks, located around twenty kilometers from Beaune, discovered several corpses last weekend, the cases of avian flu were confirmed on Tuesday, he told ICI Bourgogne. All his animals will have to be slaughtered in the coming days.
On November 21, a case was confirmed in Genlis, about thirty kilometers from Montmain. The hundred or so poultry on the farm were all euthanized. On Monday, the Côte-d’Or prefecture announced that a case of avian flu was detected in a wild duck at Lake Kir, in Dijon. The first outbreak was detected on October 30 in the Ouche valley, in Thorey-sur-Ouche, in a farm of 500 poultry (guinea fowl, chickens and ducks).
