“We expected it but the irresponsibility of parliamentarians in not voting on the budget still leads us to a dead end”regrets on franceinfo Sunday evening Jean-Christophe Repon, president of Capeb (Confederation of crafts and small construction companies). Vincent Jeanbrun, Minister of Cities and Housing, confirmed on Sunday December 21 that the MaPrimeRénov’ counter, state aid for energy renovation, will not be reopened on January 1. Not having a budget on January 1st “pushes back the fundamental texts”assured the minister in the program “Dimanche en politique” on France 3.

“It’s another hard blow”reacts Jean-Christophe Repon. “The energy transition segment, which is a driving force for us, which should create jobs, has been in sharp decline for two years”he said. “For us it is a negative signal for individuals and especially for the trust and visibility that we can engage in together”regrets the president of Capeb, which represents 62,000 artisans in France.

He assures that he wants to work with the Minister of Housing “to find solutions” And “another accompaniment” to compensate for the suspension of MaPrimeRénov. “We really need to send a strong signal to the markets”he said.

Jean-Christophe Repon estimates the loss linked to the suspension of MaPrimeRénov at “+2% of activity” in the sector. “It’s catastrophic for us”he sighs. He worries “for corporate treasury” and in particular that of the insulation sector.
