According to L’Equipe, an agreement was reached this Monday between Real Madrid and Olympique Lyonnais for the loan of former Palmeiras star Endrick.
The Rhone management had targeted an attacker this winter to strengthen a squad without Alexandre Lacazette and Georges Mikautadze. This seems to be done – at least for the next six months – no purchase option having been added to the deal concluded today between the two clubs concerned.
Despite supervision of its payroll recently confirmed by the National Directorate of Management Control (DNCG), OL was able to finalize an agreement which of course remains subject to validation by the Professional Football League. This in return for an envelope of one million euros and the payment of half of the salary of the 19-year-old Brazilian international. That’s almost 200,000 euros per month.
Another blocked Lyon priority
Endrick, who had found common ground with Les Gones for several weeks already, should sign his contract within 48 hours, reports the aforementioned sports daily. In need of playing time this season among the Merengues – with 101 minutes played in total under the orders of Xabi Alonso – the young striker is expected in Lyon for the resumption of training on December 29.
This will undoubtedly not be the case, however, for Himad Abdelli. While the midfielder recently summoned by Algeria for the CAN was the subject of an offer from Lyon six months before the end of his Angevin contract, the SCO would categorically refuse to let its master play this winter.
