Algeria, alert for Sudan

This Wednesday, Algeria launches its CAN 2025 against a Sudan determined to bring down the Fennecs.

The CAN continues. This Wednesday, Group E will enter the fray. Algeria will face Sudan at 4 p.m. at the Moulay Hassan stadium in Rabat. The Fennecs, who have not won a match in the African Cup of Nations since their success in the final against Senegal in 2019, will be keen to start the tournament on a positive note.

On paper, Riyad Mahrez’s teammates are favorites. But Sudan, driven by unfailing determination, intends to surprise the 2019 African champions. At a press conference, captain Bakhit Khamis sent a clear message:
“We came to compete and offer football that matches our country”while ensuring that his group will be ready “physically and mentally to give the maximum”.
