At the moment, the roads are particularly slippery. So, in a small mountain village, in the Drôme, an individual decided to change his tires. He calls on a home installer after making his choice on the Internet: an intermediate quality 4-season model, 140 euros per tire. “Of course, I always look for the best price. I’m not going to take low-end. Very high-end, it’s very expensive in 4×4”confides Philippe Baumann, a customer.

The pace is fast for the installer: 40 minutes to dismantle, then inflate, balance and reassemble the vehicle’s four new tires. A cadence linked to the season. “With the summer-winter change, I have 20% more activity compared to the rest of the year”explains Marcello Mateus, home tire fitter.

An activity felt in a logistics center in Valence (Drôme), the largest stock of tires of all brands available in France, with 25,000 references. “In terms of safety, first of all, in terms of the longevity of the tire, so how long we will be able to keep it and drive it in good conditions.
