Algeria entered the African Cup of Nations this Wednesday against Sudan. With a 3-0 victory at stake.
After two failed editions and six years without success on a continental scale, Algeria returned to victory within the framework of
the African Cup of Nations. This Wednesday in Rabat, the Greens won 3-0 against Sudan. A result which allows them to take control of their group ahead of Burkina Faso who fell earlier than Equatorial Guinea (2-1). Check out the match thread – and the goals video – below.
Algeria finished this meeting strongly with a third achievement from Maza, the man that many observers were waiting for from the kick-off this evening. This on a nice delivery from Bounedjah (85th).
The double for Mahrez! Scorer from the 2nd minute, the Algeria veteran, perfectly served by Amoura, shelters his selection at the hour mark (61st). A logical advantage as the Sudanese have been reduced to ten since the 39th minute and the expulsion of Alhassan.
Algeria did not take long to launch its CAN, with Mahrez opening the scoring in the 2nd minute of play. A great response to detractors from the Algerian veteran, at the conclusion of a remarkable collective action.
