How to enter stadiums for free

The 2025 African Cup of Nations currently being held in Morocco allows supporters to attend certain matches for free.

If not the inaugural match of Morocco against the Comoros,
the 2025 African Cup of Nations during the first day of the group stage saw a good number of matches played in stadiums with sparse aisles – due to lack of public. An embarrassing observation as the competition aims to be a great popular football festival.

To remedy this, the CAN 2025 organizing committee, with the approval of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), decided to formalize free access to the stands of unfilled enclosures twenty minutes after the kick-off of the matches. An initiative unofficially already observed since the launch of the tournament.

Possible free tickets to Algeria

The approach was confirmed by CAF to Agence France Presse. This comes as different parts these days have seen attendances spike suddenly during the first period. This was the case for the Egypt-Zimbabwe (2-1), Cameroon-Gabon (1-0), DRC Congo-Benin (1-0) or Tunisia-Uganda (3-1) matches in particular.
