While Tim Bozon did not hide his disappointment at not being selected to compete in the 2026 Winter Games, Yorick Treille responded to him. He speaks of a “lack of respect”.
Between Tim Bozon and Yorick Treille, the situation is not getting better. Far from it even. Indeed, while he was not selected for the French team to participate in the 2026 Winter Games in Milan-Cortina, the Genève-Servette striker recently confided that he was experiencing this “like a hammer blow, because I was supposed to go there”, from the Swiss daily Blick. Obviously, the coach of the Blues was invited to react to the latter’s comments.
“There was no hatred. There was a lot of explaining to try to make him understand why. Afterwards, he has his interpretation and his self-evaluation, it belongs to him,” initially explained Treille, who does not want to return “in an exchange of polemics” following the reaction “very disappointing” of Bozon and rather wants “focus on the 25 players selected”.
Treille: “No hate”
“He has the right to express his feelings, and his truth, but it is his. It’s about a conflict of hatred, it’s one sided”subsequently continued the coach of the France team, in comments collected by
The Team. He called on “players who nourish the collective project at every moment and who accept the role assigned to them according to the values of the France team”.
“The fact of having trained Tim Bozon at club and the selection are two completely different things. Ultimately, this type of statement is a lack of respect for his teammates and the French team jersey. As if the selection was due to him whatever happens”Treille also said about his choice not to call on Tim Bozon. A decision which is the fruit of “a lot of internal discussions since August”.
