Marseillais Mason Greenwood is the only player outside PSG to have been invited to the eleven type of the year 2025, according to L’Equipe.
2025 will have been the year of PSG. Winners of the first Champions League in their history on May 31 in Munich, the Parisians have lifted no less than six trophies in the last twelve months. It is therefore quite logical that Luis Enrique’s men were acclaimed by the daily journalists
The Team.
The latter were invited to create their typical team of 2025 in League 1. And unsurprisingly, it is made up of ten Parisians, three more than in 2024. In goal, Gianluigi Donnarumma, who left this summer for Manchester City, was named best goalkeeper of the year, with in front of him a defense made up of his former partners: Achraf Hakimi, Marquinhos, Willian Pacho and Nuno Mendes.
In the middle, we find the Neves-Vitinha-Ruiz trio. In attack, Ballon d’Or Ousmane Dembélé is obviously present. The former Barcelona player is associated with his compatriot Désiré Doué, author of a double in the Champions League final, and… Mason Greenwood. The Marseillais is the only player outside PSG present in this eleven of The Team.
Greenwood ahead of Kvaratskhelia and Barcola
Top scorer in Ligue 1 over the period (22 goals) and third in the votes among “offensive and attacking midfielders”, the English striker was ahead of Khvitcha Kvaratskhelia and Bradley Barcola. Note that the latter were present in last year’s typical team.
Finally, this team is led by Luis Enrique, who finished clearly at the top of the votes of the sports media journalists. The Spanish coach is ahead of Pierre Sage (2e), Roberto De Zerbi (3e) and Liam Rosenior (4e).
The typical team of 2025 in Ligue 1, according to
The Team: Donnarumma – Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Nuno Mendes – Neves, Vitinha, Ruiz – Doué, Dembélé, Greenwood.
