Nigeria beat Tunisia this Saturday to take leadership in Group C of the African Cup of Nations (3-2).
Nigeria got the better of Tunisia this Saturday in Fez (3-2). Not without regrets for the Tunisians who were slow to enter their match.
Thanks to Osimhen (44th), Ndidi (50th) and Lookman (67th), the Super Eagles actually led 3-0 in this part before a wind of revolt gave wings to the dominating Carthage Eagles in the last 20 minutes of play.
The goals from Talbi (74th) and Abdi (87th from the penalty spot) were too late to allow Tunisia to come back and thus retain the lead in Group C of the CAN.
Tanzanians and Ugandans having drawn earlier in the day (1-1), the two favorites of the group who faced each other today in Fez will however not fail to reach the round of 16. The Eagles will still have to show authority on Tuesday against Tanzania.
