The Haute-Garonne agricultural inter-union, made up of the FDSEA, the Rural Coordination, the Young Farmers and the Peasant Confederation, voted to hold a mobilization on Tuesday, December 30 in the Cazères sector, southwest of Toulouse (Haute-Garonne), in order to protest against government management of lumpy skin disease (LSD), indicates ICI Occitanie (formerly France Bleu).

The meeting aimed at formalizing this inter-union mobilization was held on Sunday. Farmers will gather from 10 a.m. Tuesday morning. According to information from ICI Occitanie, the mobilized farmers then plan to block the A64, located near Cazères, or the SNCF line which passes in this sector.

The four unions also plan to march in the streets of Toulouse on Saturday January 3. The breeders gathered will wear crosses to symbolize each animal slaughtered as part of the protocol linked to the DNC. According to union sources contacted by ICI Occitanie, the procession will leave the courthouse to reach the regional prefecture, passing through the Place du Capitole.
