With or without Achraf Hakimi? Morocco’s official line-up is set to face Zambia this Monday evening.
Hooked by Mali (1-1) after an inaugural success against the Comoros, Morocco is not yet fully qualified for the round of 16 of the CAN 2025. To finish at the top of their group, the Atlas Lions will have to win against Zambia this Monday (8 p.m.) at the Prince Moulay Abdallah stadium in Rabat.
Remaining on the substitutes’ bench during the first two matches of Walid Regragui’s squad in the competition, Achraf Hakimi is once again absent from the Moroccan eleven to face the Zambians. The PSG right-back should, however, enter during the match this time.
“ In the third match, we are likely to see Achraf start or come in to start the engine, assured Regragui after the draw against Mali. Today, he was predisposed to enter 10 minutes but given the configuration, the intensity and the result, we preferred not to take any risks. He will be ready for the knockout matches, that’s for sure. »
Some surprises in the Moroccan eleven
It is Noussair Mazraoui, who played the first two matches in their entirety, who will once again occupy the right-back position. Walid Regragui also made some changes, notably starting Mohamed Chibi, Adam Masina and Abde Ezzalzouli.
Zambia’s eleven: Mwanza – Banda, Sakala, Chanda, Hamansenya – Chongo – Musonda, Chaiwa, Liteta – Daka, Kangwa
Morocco’s eleven: Bounou – Mazraoui, Aguerd, Masina, Chibi – The Aynai, The Angels of Diaz, the Saibari, The Abde – The Kaabi
