A new coach in Ligue 1

In great difficulty, OGC Nice confirmed the departure of Franck Haise and the return to the bench of an old acquaintance.

Things are moving at OGC Nice! Despite the victory in the Coupe de France against AS Saint-Etienne, and a few days before the resumption of Ligue 1, the Riviera club has decided to change coach.

“In agreement with President Rivère and taking into account the sporting situation, we have chosen to end my mandate as coach of OGC Nice, and those of my deputies Lilian Nalis and Johann Ramaré”confirmed Franck Haise.

“I would like to thank all the people who work every day for the club and wish the Gym, its supporters and its entire environment to quickly reconnect with a positive sporting dynamic,” adds the former RC Lens coach.

Haise replaced by Puel

To try to turn around a team with a string of defeats, OGC Nice opted for an old acquaintance, Claude Puel. The latter arrives as a “duty firefighter”, because he is only appointed until the end of the season.

“Experienced coach and expert on the club, Claude Puel, who returns to the Nice bench after his stint between 2012 and 2016, begins today his priority mission of improving the team’s performance. »
