A whole Bassecour has taken up residence under the windows of the inhabitants: goats, turkeys, geese and some roosters who watch over the grain. We even hear the sheep bells, accompanied by their shepherd. To support the project, the town hall and the social landlord lend the land. The farm is open to all residents, children and parents. “”It’s nice for everyone“, Enthuses a visitor.”He gave warmth to the neighborhood with all his nature“, Acknowledges a visitor. The town hall of Villiers-le-Bel also notes the profits of the farm on the atmosphere in the neighborhood.”It really creates social ties“, testifies Géraldine Medda, deputy mayor.

In France, a farm offers to taste camel milk, near Maubeuge (Hauts-de-France). Julien is at the head of a herd of 80 dromedaries and his breeding allows you to discover that a camel gives 6 liters of milk per day, three times less than a cow. The milk sells for 16 euros per liter.

Ostriches are also present in around fifty farms in France, one of which is located in Courlay in Deux-Sèvres. Guaranteed success if you go with your children. You may even have the chance to see ostrichons and ostrich eggs. They weigh on average 1.5 kilo. An ostrich lays an egg every three days.
