If you are looking for at low prices escape ideas, know that every first weekend of the month, five TERs of Occitania are one euro for passengers.
Like every first Saturday of the month, it is a tributary day at the Toulouse station in Haute-Garonne. Travelers storm TERs for a price that challenges any competition. “It’s good. It allows us to travel and if not, I think I would not have taken the train”explains an SNCF user. The train in question, bound for Albi (Tarn), is complete. Three-quarters of the passengers benefit from a price to one euro, only valid every first weekend of the month.
A young Toulouse and his companion have traveled Occitanie since the launch of the operation three years ago. Just in front of them, two retired friends now grant their calendar to benefit from the train to a euro. “We don’t have a car so it’s very practical, it allows us to walk”explains one of them. After an hour’s trip and a few minutes of walking, the two friends meet at the foot of the Albi cathedral. They are ready for the visit.
