Paying directly at the pharmacy counter a euro deductible on each medication box may be the case tomorrow, and the patients met in the morning of Monday, July 28 do not necessarily agree. “No, I prefer that this is treated directly between the cash register and the pharmacists”said a customer.

But some users include this measure: “It can perhaps give people a little conscience that it is not free, social security pays, the mutual pays”judge a local resident. “I understand the government’s approach, but I also know that it will penalize certain consumers”Add a man.

Until now, one euro deductible on each box of medicines is deducted by health insurance during future reimbursements. According to the Minister of Health, having to pay directly at the counter would empower users. For Yorick Berger, pharmacist and spokesperson for the Federation of French Pharmacists (FSPF), this is not his role: “We are not a tax collection service. We, our job, is to deliver the right medicine to the right dosage and, in no way, to recover money for these franchises for health insurance. It is a risk of conflict with patients”he points out.

Other measures envisaged, the medical deductible ceiling on drugs would drop from 50 to 100 euros per year. And the control of ALDs, long -term conditions, would be more drastic.
