A whole new airline connecting Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) to Nîmes (Gard) was born, but opinions divergent, in particular on its impact on the environment.
Global warming has been at the heart of debates for several years, but a new airline has just revived controversy. Indeed, it will be effective on May 30 and will link the city of Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) to that of Nîmes (Gard), or 300 km for an hour of flight. Some travelers are very skeptical: “I am against it, totally against. The journey is too short, we can find other means.”
If criticism is raining, especially on the side of elected officials from Gard, others are less categorical, in particular the inhabitants of Nîmes who see it as a boon for the development of their city: “We are not too served in Nîmes online air, it can develop tourism and local activity, so why not?”estimates a traveler.
