The Loire MP Antoine Vermorel-Marques announced on Wednesday November 5, in a letter published on

“A new milestone has been reached”writes the deputy from the Republican Right group, in the Assembly, this Wednesday on X: “After child pornography dolls, Shein now sells category A weapons. Selling these weapons is punishable by five years of imprisonment and a fine of 75,000 euros. I immediately contact the public prosecutor.”

In his referral, sent to the Paris public prosecutor Laure Beccuau under article 40 of the code of criminal procedure, Antoine Vermorel-Marques points out in particular the sale by Shein of a so-called “zombie” knife, with one sharp side and another serrated side, forming part of category A weapons.

Antoine Vermorel-Marque also denounces the sale of a product presented as “finger rings” but can resemble a brass knuckle, a model also classified among category A weapons. On the servicepublic.fr site, it is indicated that it is “prohibited from acquiring or possessing a weapon classified in category A, unless specifically authorized”.
