Arthur Cazaux has gone from one ski resort to another, but everything is still going as well for the young French player. Last week, the almost 23-year-old player had played his very first semi-final on the ATP circuit in Gstaad in Switzerland, where he had been beaten by Alexander Bublik. A result that allowed him to go back to 100th place in the world. And this week, Héraultais still plays on clay, in Kitzbühel in Austria, and he crossed the first round this Tuesday.
Opposed to another semi-finalist by Gstaad, Peruvian Ignacio Buse (133rd), whom he had eliminated a month ago in qualifying in Wimbledon, Cazaux won 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 in 2h17. He served 10 aces in particular and has lost his play only once.
Cazaux Breake at the best time
After saving three Break Balles at 2-2 in the first set, the Frenchman made the break on the next game to lead 4-2. He then pocketed the first round on his third set ball. A victory that allows him to gain seven places in the virtual classification and to challenge Francisco Comesana to the next round, 73rd in the world. Also note this Tuesday the elimination of the seeded n ° 5, Tomas Etcheverry, in three sets against Filip Misolic, however affected in the right leg and which asked for the intervention of the physiotherapist: 7-5, 5-7, 6-3.
