ATP ranking: Rinderknech becomes French n°1

Absent from the first Rolex Paris Masters in Nanterre, won on Sunday by Jannik Sinner, back in the throne of number 1, although he had reached the final of the last edition, Ugo Humbert fell to 37th place in the new ATP ranking. Arthur Rinderknech (28th), although released prematurely by his Monegasque cousin Valentin Vacherot, who climbs another ten ranks, is therefore the highest ranked of our representatives this Monday.

Arthur Rinderknech new French number 1. Eliminated in the 2nd round of this Rolex Paris Masters which made its grand debut last week in La Paris La Défense Arena in Nanterre and gave rise to the first coronation in the Parisian indoor tournament for Jannik Sinner, returning at the same time to first place in the world ranking ahead of his rival Carlos Alcaraz, who left from the start, the finalist of the last Shanghai Masters nevertheless made a good move in the rankings.

This Monday, the day after the Masters 1000 in the capital, the protégé of Lucas Pouille, beaten again by his Monegasque cousin Valentin Vacherot, quarter-finalist in Nanterre and now 30th, occupies 28th place and is the highest ranked of all the Tricolores, three ranks ahead of Corentin Moutet (31st) beaten in the 2nd round by future semi-finalist Alexander Bublik, who is getting even closer to the Top 10 (13th), and nine ahead of Ugo Humbert.

Muller and Royer progress

Messin, forced to forfeit even though it had reached the final of the last edition, the very last at the Accor Arena, tumbled to 37th place. Alexandre Muller (43rd), who came up against Felix Auger-Aliassime in the 2nd round, beaten in the final by Sinner and who gained two more places (8th), and Valentin Royer (56th), knocked out from the start by the Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, are both progressing in the hierarchy, with respectively one place gained and a progression of three ranks. Terence Atmane (66th) also advances. Giovanni Mpetshi-Perricard (59th), Arthur Cazaux (69th), Quentin Halys (84th) and, above all, Adrian Mannarino (71st) are downgraded, however.
