Badreddine Ouali decorated with the French National Order of Merit


The president of the Tunisia Foundation for Development and founder of Vermeg, Badreddine Ouali, received, Thursday October 30, 2025, the insignia of Knight of the French National Order of Merit.

This distinction, underlines a press release from the French Embassy in Tunisia, salutes a journey marked by a constant commitment to Tunisian youth and territorial development. Since its creation, the Tunisia Foundation for Development has opened, with the support of French, German and Emirati cooperation, five Elife training centers located in different regions of the country. These structures have enabled the creation of more than 4,500 jobs and today offer real opportunities to young graduates.

The foundation is also at the origin of The Dot incubator, which has become a central player in the Tunisian ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship.

In his speech, Badreddine Ouali reaffirmed his desire to “ offer Tunisian youth the best opportunities, everywhere in the country “. A commitment shared by the French Development Agency (AFD) and Expertise France, partners of the Tunisia Foundation for Development. These collaborations relate in particular to the upcoming opening of three new Elife centers and to the regional version of The Dot model in interior areas.
