The wages of women remain lower than that of men, according to INSEE figures published this week. This is also true among seniors, for women with the same professional trajectory as their male counterparts.

What is the situation of senior women in business? The employment rate for 55-64 year olds is close to the European Union average, almost 60%, while it is more than 10 points in men. It’s still a lot, but it’s less than 30 years ago: 35 %.

The wage gaps between women and men also increase with age, and they are more marked between parents: mothers have working times, and full -time equivalent wages, much lower than those of fathers. These differences are accentuated with the number of children.

Force Women has a network throughout France, which has accompanied, since its creation in 2005, more than 30,000 women over 45 years old.
