After missing his first period, Clermont overthrew the Stade Français and won this Saturday with the way (55-20). This successful success during the 25th day of the Top 14 allows the Jaunards to temporarily take 5th place, one day by the term of the regular season.
Clermont’s season is not yet finished, and it could well extend a little. Indeed, after being beaten last week in Castres (29-34), the ASM reacted with the way this Saturday against the Stade Français (55-20), during the 25th day of the Top 14.
This improved success allows the team of Christophe Urios to revive in the Top 6 race, synonymous with qualification for the final phase, before the last day. But if the Jaunards had a smile after the meeting, they had to be stunning to enchant the Marcel-Michelin stadium. Because, at first, it was the Parisians who started this important match better for the two teams.
After a first penalty by Zack Henry (7th), Joe Marchant scored the first test of the meeting (15th). Behind, the English opener put nine more points at the foot (21st, 27th and 41st).
