In the midst of young employees of a household appliance treatment company are seniors. Among them, Alberto Pinho, 58 years old. He was hired last March. After a dismissal, the transport manager worried about the future. “At my age, it’s complicated to find a job behind. It can make you think, are we still able to do everything we have done”he shared.

If he was able to find a job in his sector of activity, it is thanks to Ahmed Chaieb, founder of Ecogem, who is not afraid to bet on over 50 years, which represent 12 % of the workforce of the company. “These are historical professions, especially in reuse, especially on household appliances. It is a job that was at the end of life and today there are very few technicians or at any case of experts in this sector. The idea is also to invest in the expertise of the past”he explained.
