Jendouba lost one of its major figures on Tuesday November 18, 2025. Mouldi Ayari, a key personality of the North-West and a man of commitment, has passed away, leaving behind a legacy deeply rooted in economic, professional and sporting circles, his loved ones announced this evening.
Mouldi Ayari has left his mark on several generations through his exceptional career. Former member of the Executive Office of Utica, he led the Regional Union of Employers’ Organization in Jendouba, where he worked tirelessly to defend local businesses and promote the regional economic fabric. He also chaired two mixed chambers, Tunisian-Algerian and Tunisian-Egyptian, contributing to the strengthening of exchanges and partnerships between Tunisia and its neighbors.
Beyond his economic commitment, Mouldi Ayari has also left his mark in the world of sport. A former handball player, he chaired the Tunisian Handball Federation, where he was recognized for his rigor, his sense of organization and his constant desire to promote this discipline on a national scale.
His disappearance arouses deep emotion in Jendouba and throughout the region. Families, friends, economic players and sports figures salute the memory of a devoted, respected man deeply attached to his region.
Peace to his soul.
