Bad news for seasonal workers. They will be less reimbursed in the event of sick leave, from April 1. “Already that it is difficult to recruit seasonal workers for the seasons, maybe we will have less and less,” slips one of them. Workers and short -term fixed -term contracts could also affect less in the event of sick leave because their employers should not compensate. For all other employees who receive the minimum wage more than 1.4 times, in theory, the maximum daily allowance will drop from 53.31 euros to 41.47 euros in daily allowances.
In fact, many sectors such as building, health or bakery have signed foresight contracts for all their employees. At first, they are therefore the companies to get their hands in the pocket. With this reform, the government aims to save 600 million euros on the social security budget.
